Currently, there are two options for obtaining a visa for Vietnam:
The electronic visa for Vietnam (E-Visa) is the most convenient option for many travelers.
It can be applied for a single or multiple entry.
Requirements:
Entry and exit must take place via a border crossing approved by the Vietnamese authorities.

Validity: up to 90 days
Processing time: approx. 1 week (excluding holidays)
The Vietnam e-Visa is ideal for tourists and business travelers (meetings, conferences) who want a quick and easy online application process.

The visa in the passport is issued directly by the Vietnamese Embassy in Vienna.
It is valid for all border crossings and can be applied for both single-entry and multiple-entry purposes.
Special Notes:
The validity of the visa is determined exactly by the travel dates on the airline ticket or by the information in the approval letter.
The visa is particularly recommended for business travelers for assembly work, technical assignments, or long-term stays in Vietnam.
Processing time: approx. 2 weeks (excluding holidays)

Since mid-April 2026—starting with Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City—an Arrival Card must be completed prior to entry into Vietnam. The Arrival Card is now also required at numerous other points of entry.
Important: Registration can be completed no earlier than 3 days (72 hours) before entry.
Please note that the Arrival Card must be reapplied for with EVERY entry.

2) Log in: Click on the URL www.oevkg.at and log in with your email address and password.
