What is a visa?

 

A visa is a permit issued by a foreign country that permits entry, transit and stay of the passport holder. The visa is usually entered in a passport (stamp or visa sticker). Register now and apply for your visa.

What do I need to apply for a visa?

 

The visa requirements vary from country to country. Most countries expect:

• a completed and signed visa application
• one or two passport photos
• an original passport with one or two free passport pages

 

The visa is issued by a stamp or visa sticker in the passport. Depending on the destination or the visa category, additional documents for a visa application must be attached:

• Flight and hotel bookings
• Invitation letter
• Letter of assignment
• Proof of insurance

Can you also apply for visas for foreigners in Austria?

 

Foreign nationals can apply for a visa in Austria. Prerequisites are:

 

First residence in Austria

• The registration document for EU citizens must be submitted
• The residence permit for non-EU citizens must be submitted

How do I proceed when I need several visas, for example a visa to China, a visa to India and a visa to Russia, and the consulates from Russia, India and China are located at different locations?

 

Apply the visas to your user account. The automatic completion and completion of the visa application and order saves a lot of time during the application process.

• You simply send the documents to our ÖVKG office in Vienna.
• We will send the documents to the next embassy after obtaining a visa in order to get the other visa for the other countries.

Do I need my passport for the visa application?

 

As a rule, you always attach your passport to the visa documents.

The visa is embroidered or stamped in your passport by the consulate / embassy

In exceptional cases, a legible copy of the passport is sufficient. The passport must be submitted in the original before the visa is issued.

How do I pay the visa fee?

 

Please DO NOT deposit cash or checks to the visa application.

The OEVKG will pay in advance and will pay the necessary fees. We have agreed payment possibilities with the consulates and consular providers. These lead to a smooth and fast processing. All fees and expenses are transparent when you apply for your visa.

When do I send visas / visa documents to the OEVKG office?

 

Please send us your visa documents as soon as possible.

• The processing time depends on the consulate.
• The processing time may include, depending on the destination between 24 hours and 8 weeks.
• Please inquire under the country information for the processing period.

Please note:

Higher processing times (Express / Same Day) will result in higher charges.

By submitting the return date, the visa is applied for at the lowest rate.

How can I send documents to the OEVKG?

 

We recommend a safe shipping method, as these are sensitive original documents.

• Order a courier of your choice which has been selected by you.
• Also pay attention to the possibility of tracking the shipment.

 

As soon as your visa documents have arrived in our branch, you will receive a confirmation from us.

Can I have my documents collected by the OEVKG at my company?

 

In the visa application process of OEVKG, we offer two alternatives:

• Pick-up by a trustworthy courier company appointed by us. That is, you do not have to worry about anything, we make your visa documents secure.
• Shipping by courier service provider of your trust.
