CHINA FINGERPRINTS - INFORMATION
05/12/2019 16:47
Dear Sir or Madam,
With effect from 9th December 2019, ALL visa applicants will have to submit their fingerprints to the Chinese consular provider in Vienna with a few exceptions. This applies to all visa categories.
Please note:
- The fingerprints are valid for 5 years together with the submitted passport
- Should a visa be applied for within 5 years with another passport (new or second pass), new fingerprints will have to be handed in
- Fingerprints already handed in when entering China will not be accepted
If you apply for a China visa via the ÖVKG in the future, you will receive two application options:
- as before, without the handing over of fingerprints, since already with the Chinese Konsular Provider in Vienna takes place, as well
- NEW: including the delivery of fingerprints at the Chinese consular provider
When applying for a visa, including the submission of fingerprints, you will be able to choose from the following options:
- PRE-CHECK
- Pre-check of your digitally transmitted documents by OEVKG in combination with Meet & Greet service or appointment, including pick-up by ÖVKG
- Document preparation (fill-in help)
- OEVKG will prepare the visa application for you and send it ready in digital form for your signature
- Appointment for the submission of fingerprints
- Meet & Greet-Serivce: Appointment by OEVKG at the Chinese Konsular Provider with personal OEVKG contact person when capturing the fingerprints - this service is only possible with pre-check
- Appointment by OEVKG at the Chinese Konsular Provider for personal capture of fingerprints including collection of the passport, WITHOUT OEVKG contact person on site - this service is only possible with pre-check
The OEVKG continues to assure you a comprehensive and transparent support during the visa application.
