The Sri Lankan authorities have announced that due to a technical malfunction in the ETA system, tourists and business travelers must continue to apply for the ETA, but no confirmation of approval can currently be issued. In this case, the ETA order confirmation / payment confirmation must be presented upon entry at Bandaranaike International Airport - the ETA will then be issued on site.
