On November 22, the 7th amendment to the COVID-19 Entry Regulation 2021 comes into force. It brings the following changes for entry to Austria:

A 2.5 G certificate 

is required for entry into the country

Antigen and antibody tests lose their validity as proof. Excluded from this are:  

• Commuters (work, school/study, family purposes, life partner): They require a 3-G certificate.
• Persons who are subject to compulsory education: The Ninja Pass is considered proof of a low epidemiological risk. This applies in the week in which the test intervals are observed, also on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of that week and (if testing is ensured immediately after entry) on Monday of the following week

The previously privileged duration of PCR tests of 7 days for commuters will be reduced to a validity of 72 hours. Antigen tests are only valid for 24 hours.

Proof of vaccination:

• The minimum interval between vaccinations against the coronavirus must be 14 days
.
• The validity period of the proof of vaccination is shortened. Proof is now only valid for 9 months, with a transitional period until December 6.

From 22.11.2021, it will be possible to apply for an electronic visa for Thailand. From this date, the consulate will no longer accept applications in person unless the applicant is invited for a personal interview.

From November 8, 2021, there will be far-reaching changes to the entry requirements for the USA.

As of November 8, 2021, all air travelers (except persons with residence permits in the USA and US citizens) must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination status before boarding an aircraft to the United States. A continuation of the application for a National Interest Exemption is not currently planned.

All passengers must present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test certificate (PCR/NAAT or antigen test) to the airline before entering the USA. The test must not have been taken more than 3 days before departure.

This test is already required at boarding and must be carried for entry into the USA.

The Russian consulate will be closed on 04.11.2021 and 05.11.2021

Please note that this will result in delays in processing and that SAMEDAY/BLITZ processing will not be possible on these days.
