Visa applications have been submitted to the consular provider Chinese Visa Application Center since 17.12.2018. The consular provider has already informed us today of the following changes, which are effective immediately:
- Signature on the visa application can no longer be signed by proxy but must always be signed by the traveler in original (even if this would theoretically be possible in part 5 of the visa application)- The invitation must now include the name of the traveler AND the passport number- From now on, a data protection declaration must be enclosed with the documents, which must also be signed by the traveler (a copy of the signature is sufficient here) - this can be found under "Your destination" and "Sample documents"
- A copy of the passport should be enclosed with the documents
Thank you for your consideration for future orders.
The Chinese consulate officially informed us at an information event that the consulate will outsource visa matters to an external service provider from 17.12.2018. From 17.12.2018 there will be a consular provider, similar to Russia or India, for example.
What changes will there be for you?
New processing times:
NORMAL PROCESSING – up to 5 working days
EXPRESS PROCESSING – 2-3 working days
SAMEDAY PROCESSING – possible on request, provided the documents are received in full by 8:30 a.m. at the ÖVKG Büro. Processing will be carried out within 24 hours.
New fees:
Please find the new processing fees in the table – the total fees for visa issuance are therefore the consular fees plus consular provider fees
As with every change, experience has shown that there will be some ambiguities at the beginning - and we see it as our task to resolve these ambiguities so that the transition period runs as smoothly as possible.
Basically, the document requirements remain the same and the Chinese consulate is still responsible for issuing visas (category, number of entries, validity).
We ask for your attention and remain with kind regards
Your ÖVKG team,
The Consulate of Russia informs that for express processing with company invitations, advance registration at the consulate is now required - the consulate only accepts a very limited number of express orders per day.
Express processing with an official invitation is exempt from this regulation.
The consulate of Saudi Arabia will remain closed on 02.11.2018.
The Consulate of India will be closed due to public holidays on the following days:
