From 2 April 2025, Austrian and many other nationals will be required to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before entering the country
.This applies to both tourism and business purposes.
The ETA can be applied for via the ÖVKG since 5.3.2025.The ÖVKG will be happy to provide you with more information on the purpose and exceptions.
Due to technical problems, the Consulate of China is currently unable to carry out express and urgent visa processing, only normal processing (approx. 7 days).
We ask you to take this into account and will contact you as soon as the consulate has solved the technical problems.

Due to technical problems with the Kenyan authorities' application website, it is currently not possible to apply for an electronic visa for Kenya.
Since the Kenyan consulate is also unable to issue visas and there is no possibility to apply for a visa on arrival, all applicants are obliged to wait until the portal is functional again.

From 01.04.2025, Austrian citizens, among others, will require a visa in the form of a "Visa on Arrival" to enter Namibia
The visa for Namibia is a "Visa on Arrival" and can either be obtained on arrival directly at the border crossing or the application for the "Visa on Arrival" can be applied for and paid for in advance in the form of an electronic pre-registration (electronic visa). If you want to carry out the electronic pre-registration, start the order in the ÖVKG system.
