Your ÖVKG TeamThe Hague Apostille Convention will enter into force between Austria and the People's Republic of China on November 7, 2023. This eliminates the need to have documents from the respective issuing state legalized by the accredited foreign representations of the target state for use in the target state. Legalization for public documents will therefore be replaced by the so-called „apostille“. The apostille confirms that the signature is genuine and that the issuer of the document is authorized to do so.
