Dear Sir or Madam,
With effect from 9th December 2019, ALL visa applicants will have to submit their fingerprints to the Chinese consular provider in Vienna with a few exceptions. This applies to all visa categories.
If you apply for a China visa via the OEVKG in the future, you will receive two application options:
When applying for a visa, including the submission of fingerprints, you will be able to choose from the following options:
Appointment by OEVKG at the Chinese consular provider for the independent handing over of fingerprints, WITHOUT on-site support by OEVKG
The OEVKG continues to assure you a comprehensive and transparent support during the visa application.
IMPORTANT: In the week from 2.12.2019 to 06.12.2019 we expect an increased application volume at the Visa Application Center in Vienna. Any visa to be applied for without handing over fingerprints should reach OEVKG by 02.12.2019 at the latest. The OEVKG can not guarantee processing by the Chinese consular provider without the provision of fingerprints for documents that arrive in our office after 02.12.2019.
Please also find more detailed explanations here.
The new services are expected to be bookable in the ÖVKG portal over the next week.
For further questions and suggestions we are at your disposal.
