Due to a change in Russian migration law, official FMS invitations will no longer be accepted from 08.02.2021 if the "Purpuse of Visit" category "Technical Assistance" or "CREW member" has been specified.
Visas with the category "technical support" will in future fall under "work visas" and visas with the category "CREW member" will fall under the category "business visas".
On February 18, 2021, the consulate announced that due to massive pressure from numerous companies and interest groups, there will be a transition period for FMS invitations already issued to the categories „technical support“ and „crew member“.
This means that a submission with these already requested or issued invitations is possible again.
However, the same fees as for a „work / work visa“ already apply for the „technical assistance“ category.
All new invitations that are applied for must be issued in accordance with the new guidelines.
Despite the extension of the lifting of the quarantine exemption until February 18, 2021, there has been an exemption since February 1, 2021.2021, there is an exemption for essential work in South Korea: if a "Quarantine Exemption" is issued by the authorities in South Korea, the quarantine exemption can be confirmed by the embassy in Vienna.
